Fifth District General Information and Overview

The Fifth Masonic District of The Grand Lodge of Georgia represents 41 Masonic Lodges in DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton and Rockdale counties (and one in Fayette), centered around metropolitan Atlanta. The District serves as a regional layer of support for our member lodges.

The 5th Masonic District Annual Communication is conducted by the 5th District Officers for the purpose of uniting the Blue Lodges of the 5th Masonic District. It is generally hosted by the Lodge which the District Master is a member. Other organizational and planning meetings for the officers and representatives are held throughout the year.

Our 103rd Annual Communication was held on 8 September 2007 at the Atlanta Masonic Center, and was hosted by Clarkston 492, where this year's slate of officers were elected and installed.

Our 104th Annual Communication is scheduled for September of 2008 at the Atlanta Masonic Center, and will be hosted by Palmetto Daylight 755. More information will be posted when details are made known.

Below are listed many of the duties and responsibilities of the Fifth District. Georgia Masonic Code section 61-1 further details the purpose and operation of Masonic Districts.
